About the project – description:

Through this project we aim to provide education and civic engagement to empower local and county decision-makers to use the county’s natural heritage in a sustainable manner, on democratic principles, for the benefit of local communities. Nature and traditions are always associated with Maramures and local communities are at the core of nature protection. Through correct and continuous information, we want to encourage local communities to have an active civic involvement, by creating a formal framework between citizens and decision makers, by assuming the role of facilitator between different civil society representatives within the environmental decision making process.
